This project raised money and awareness for The Wilderness Foundation and Wheels4Life.
The Optical Express Group were pleased to sponsor the journey of three young men as they embarked on the first ever circumnavigation of the globe via mountain bikes. Tom Allen, Andrew Welch and Mark Maultby have embarked on a three year trip that will take them to off-road trails around the world.
The goal of the project was to raise money and awareness for the following charities:
… to promote mountain biking as a lifestyle and mode of sustainable transport.
To help them prepare for this around the world trip The Optical Express Group provided them with laser eye surgery to correct their vision, enabling them to travel without glasses or contact lenses.
The Optical Express Group was founded in 1991 and has grown to become a world leader of selected healthcare services ranging from optical stores, laser clinics to a state-of-the-art refractive laser eye surgery and refractive clinics.
